I believe that life can have its ups and downs, and that we may find ourselves in darkness – a place where we feel completely lost and alone. I have been there and know that place too well. In my own life, dealing with narcissistic abuse, and bullying from an early age I have allowed my challenges to be my greatest lessons. Through my journey of healing, I have come to value the importance of being there for others. My intention as a counsellor is to be of simple service, a supportive hand in reach because we all need that from time to time.
This world is filled with many different facets that can end up contributing to how you experience life. It can be difficult to find the right guidance or support needed. I have a very humble approach to counselling. A relationship between you and I means giving you a safe and supportive energetic environment where there is no hierarchy involved of counsellor and client. Rather, it is an experience of non-judgmental conversation, allowing you to authentically express yourself and seek a more positive direction in your life. I will also take time to connect with my client and attain healing properties from nature during a ecotherapy session, where we walk and talk while applying ecotherapy and somatic exercises.
Along with being a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, I have obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Double Minor in Criminology and Philosophy. The combination of my degree and certification as a trauma informed counsellor has given me deep insight and knowledge in understanding the complexity of being human. I focus on how the mind and body are connected and what the central nervous system experiences through various life events. This knowledge and experience enables me to provide counselling from a deep perspective to support you towards healing.
Outside of counselling, I am a deep and curious soul. I am spiritual and like to be in nature, especially by the water. I like to go for walks to small coffee shops. I also like to stay active, such as, kickboxing, running, and hiking.
