The nuclear family emotional process is the idea that an individual's struggles result from the issues experienced by their nuclear family.

When parents have conflict, problematic behaviours (drinking, drugs, affairs, workaholic), emotional distance, or a child with an impairment, they impact their children

This doesn't mean our parents are to blame for our issue, but rather the behaviour of our parents affects us. To deal with whatever your issue is, you need to acknowledge where it started. No one is angry for no reason. No one is sad for no reason. No one is anxious for no reason.
