Individual Counselling, RTCc

An RTCc is a counsellor with less than the minimum hours set for an RTC (200 hours). The small 'c' stands for 'candidate. An RTCc has a minimum of 100 direct client contact hours and 20 clinical supervision hours which may include practicum experience, and/or paid or unpaid work experience in a counselling-related capacity conducted within the last five years.

Because an RTCc has fewer hours of experience their rate is $90 for a 50 min session. A full RTC is $120 for a 50 min session.

Individual Counselling, MTC

An RTC is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor with the Association of Canadian Counsellors and Therapists (ACCT). This is the standard level of qualifications.
To receive this designation a counsellor must have a minimum of 200 direct client contact hours and 40 clinical supervision hours which may include practicum experience, and/or paid or unpaid work experience in a counselling-related capacity conducted within the last five years.

An MTC is a Master Therapeutic Counsellor with ACCT. An MTC will have a minimum of 1000 hours of direct client contact under the supervision of a qualified supervisor and have attained a minimum of 50 clinical supervision hours post-graduation by a qualified supervisor.

Work with a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) to discover the root issues of your relationship problems.

Group Counselling

Group Counselling brings together people who are going through or have gone through similar experiences. For example, groups that support teenagers, addicts, people struggling with grief and loss, anger management, etc.

Group Counselling provides an opportunity for people to learn new skills, process feelings and share personal experiences and build connections with other people.

Couples and Family Counselling, MTC

Work with a Master Therapeutic Counsellor (MTC) to discover the root issues of your relationship problems. An MTC has more years of experience than a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC).

Specialized counselling for individuals struggling with dependencies.
