Grief is triggered by a loss.

Losses can be recent or past.

Recent losses have a way of resurfacing past ones, which is why grief is multidimensional. We grieve people, pets, broken dreams, lost jobs, lost opportunities, and unfulfilled expectations. Grieving is different for everyone.

Grief is a loss of connection to someone or something. Through a loving and compassionate therapeutic relationship, you are able to move through your grief and live with your loss.

We live in a society that expects grief to be quick, clean, and resolvable. When we grow up in these solution-focused spaces, we begin to pressure ourselves to move on when we aren't ready.

In counselling, you will receive care and support that examines what your loss means for you. This is a chance for you to feel heard, felt, and understood.
